Hola! Working on improving my gloves. Pretty much just applying what Sharpe demonstrates here (check it out, if you wanna make your own gloves this is great) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv7EXbvAk6m/
And whats weird is, I used -kindof- this method for spandex many many years ago for cosplay and for under-gloves for things more recently but I just never really thought to do it with fur and I am terribly excited to learn a new thing.

(I left the thumb off so you can see the proportion comparison)
You can get a gist of how they wear and what they do proportionally- Im still noodling out what I want to do with pawpads but I DO know, if you want top-notch dexterity I can totally do the undersides of the fingers and palm in a stretch material like a knit or a stretch velvet or maybe a stretch suede or something. What I do -not- know is how to handle pawpads on that material just yet. If you go with straight-fur, pawpads can attatch the same way they always have.
Ive been at this a while and I am still always learning- and grateful for it!

I got to say, I really love the flip flop modification that we did on my bear paws.
It's very convenient when you need to use your 5 fingers.
One thing I've done recently is add magnet on the upper wrist and upper hand so that the paws can flip and stick together, out of the way.
I used glue to make the magnet pocket because I couldn't get enough access to sew it, but I'm sure it would be much easier during the initial design.
Now I'll need to test it to see if the magnet (and glue) are strong enough. Those bear paws are sure thick :)

So when I used rare earth magnets (omg these things are great, they attratch to eachother through my hand!) on a project not too long ago, basially I had to stitch the magnets into fabric 'casings' individually and then use glue to get the right adhesion- best wishes on the mod!
Exactly what I did too :)
I tried with ferro-magnetic first, but those were not strong enough to hold through the thickness of the furs.
The rare earth magnets sure kicked some punch and were the only one strong enough (and dangerous if not handled with care)
Everything is glued, but it wasn't easy to navigate throught the wrist hole to apply to 'casing'.
And forget sewing once the magnet is in the casing! The needle get attracted to the magnet.

looks like a good method. :)
I had an artist here make me snugly-fitting paws, the previous ones look good, but slide off my hands, and I broke two claws off by accident. :/ so I made a dummy (fits so snugly I had a hard time getting it off my hand again XD) and she used that for the pattern. result is great, only the inner glove she added isn't stretchy enough, and I'll have to cut it out a bit around the zipper that got added along my wrist underside. I'm a bit reluctant because of the work put into it, but there.
