With its streets illuminated by hovering stars, parks and gardens flourishing with the aid of druids, and defensive walls of light and shadow, it's little wonder Arix always felt out of place in the bountiful magical city of Starhaven. Most people barely even notice the presence of small magicks in the world, but for one who had gone through life without even the most basic of magical talent, he did. Entering a city that thrived on the stuff made him feel like a pigeon among eagles.
But all magic has a source. And when Starhaven's celestial chalice was stolen, the city immediately started feeling the effects. The streets grew dim, the gardens begun to wilt. The city was left vulnerable. The chalice must have been taken for a reason, and it was only a matter of time before the city itself, left weakened and in panic, was struck. They needed a hero.
Journeying far from the city, Arix picked up the trail. It led him to a deep, dark dungeon, an overgrown cave. The presence of the chalice could already be felt, its magic radiating from within. Fighting his way through the traps, both magic and mundane, there it was. The battle for the prize was not an easy one, the chalice's power strengthening the monsters that guarded it, but of course it gave no help to Arix. Thankfully, a combination of quick thinking and great strength led the warrior to victory, using the dungeon's traps to aid him in the battle against the beasts.
Upon return to Starhaven, he was heralded as a hero. It wasn't long before the streets were once again lit. A stained glass window was created to honour him and remember his battle. And no longer did the city of Starhaven cause him unease, for now, he flew with the eagles.

Saw this and thought it was neat! If you want an actual stained glass piece, check out Mazrael on telegram. He's done several pieces for me, from large flat pieces to 3D dragons, all out of glass!
