Deep within Redridge Dragon Mercenary Corp's Headquarters was the command center for all high-priority missions. The room was barebones, except for a few choice decorations such as the flag of Snowbeech Archipelago, the cover of Mercenary Monthly, a magazine devoted to all things involving the Mercenary trade, with Ivan on the cover. In the middle of the room was their Holographic Topographical Real-Time Display, or as some Mercenaries call it, The Holo-Topo.
Ivan leaned in the humming silence, his snout illuminated by the Holo-Topo's display as it queried its new location set by him. He was waiting to hear a response from his sister Ivana, who was out on the field in taking care of this mission. His momentary quietness was soon interrupted by a simple, but loud, PING echoing from the display before him, two holographic displays opening up in front of him, the sound of static crackling and the voice of Ivana, coming halfway in as she said "Can you hear me?! Because if you can, you're NOT going to believe how hard it is to get a signal right now! "
Like all drawings I do, this usually started as practicing gestures using a reference. Like I was going to make this a simple thing and thats it.
And then one thing led to another. The base was done, but what was he leaning on? So, ideas kept rolling in and rolling in.
And this happened, a week later. I'm really proud to do this because I was really pushing myself to do something other than simple backgrounds, i wanted to do more!!
The flag was done through an online tool that creates random flags, this is a flag of their country, Snowbeech Archipelago.
This was all done in Autodesk Sketchbook, a free program! I really, REALLY recommend trying it out if you cant afford Clip Studio Paint or Photoshop!!
