I know, you're probably sick of seeing him by now XD
I've been wanting to do some sort of "Then and now" comparison for a while, and earlier today a friend over on DA suggested I post the oldest piece I have of him and reminded me.
So I did some shading on of the reference images of Nikoli and set the background as the very first image I drew of him in 1994. God it´s bad, but I guess its good to show that I have actually improved a little over the years ^^
Also the scan was bad and the paper a lil yellowed and wrinkled with the image on the other side showing through. I was gonna fix that, but decided that kinda took away from how old it is.
Let this be a reminder that with a little time, patience and dedication you can get better! (and I know I still am working to move further with my work, all the time) :)

It's a brilliant idea, not only to prove to yourself how much you have improved over the years, but also encourages those who believe they have no talent that even an amazing artist starts small. I always loved your work from the moment I saw it and if you can improves yourself that far then so can those who doubt themselves.

And that's not bad for a... like 13 year old? :D But to say you've improved a little is a vast understatement!
I love the style on the 'now' Nikoli, with the white outline and the way you did the fur texture without making it stand out too much. He looks totally cute. :o

LOL, is there something wrong with me if all I'm wondering is, what had you written on the other side of the sheet? XD
After getting that out of my head, though, in 15 years, I'd be amazed you hadn't improved at all! .D The difference actually kind of makes sense, too, since we all start drawing like crap...but I still have plenty of ground to work on x3 Keep up the awesome sauce!
