But what choice did he have? Had the Chipmunk Who Cast His Vote For Day gone unapposed, the Earth would have been scorched by eternal day. No creature would sleep, the rivers, lakes, and seas would all boil away, and no food woukd grow in the parched soil, and all would swelter suffer under the scorching heat of a Sun that never set over a desert planet. By striking down the prideful chipmunk, the Bear Who Cast His Vote for Night brought balance to the world, creating a harmonious cycle of night and day.
However, due to his unfair banishment and subsequent suffering, the noble bear was twisted into a vengeful villain who would go on to become the enemy of the Chipmunks and be obsessed with eternal night.
All because of a foolish uncompromising chipmunk with a heart filled with arrogant self-righteous pride. Had the Chipmunk and the Bear worked together and realized that neither day nor night could be eternal and that both light and darkness were equally essential, the atrocities and tragedies that followed would never have happened.
Thus is the price of a Bear's wrath and a Chipmunk's pride
