Nervous passenger

„Thanks for picking me up.“ Said the gray anthro cat Cody. As he slipped into Korons 207. The black Buizel greeted him with the usual hat tip:“ No problem, buddy. I´m always glad when i can help.“
Without any further ado. Koron weaved his car into the traffic:“ Please drive careful. You know how i feel about driving tricks and stuff.“
„Don´t worry Cody i promised to drive safe when you are my passenger and i will keep it that way. Hmm It always reminds me on the time when i was in your position.“ Cody looked over to the driving Buizel, with a very surprised look on his face:“ You? You´ve been a nervous passenger. Heh i can barely believe that. You are such a confident driver, just like Linzie or Juley. I can barely imagine you being nervous on the passenger seat.“
„Oh i was. I really was...“

Flashback to Korons past.

It was back then when i entered my papers to become an official bounty hunter... Feels like ages since i did that. Even though it´s just around 6 years. So i just stood there in the police station and handed my papers over to the police officer. He looked over the paper:“ Boy. I´ve seen terrible writing before, but this tops everything. So you want to be a bounty hunter Mr... Daioh?“
I nervously made a nod with my hand. I was so nervous that i could feel my organs going haywire and only allowed me to move slowly:“ Well your recommendations look fine. Good logic thinking outstanding fighting capabilities. No criminal record. Hmm not recommended for undercover missions though.“
„I can better myself!“ I finally raised my voice. Although it was maybe a bit to loud. So i tried to get myself back down:“ I-i mean i can maybe learn from others to become suited for such missions. Please believe me i´m a quick learner.“ My heart and stomach had a party in my throat as the officer looked at me with narrowed eyes:“ Well them Mr. Daioh. I will organize a mentor for you. When he gives his okay after one week of training you. You will get your bounty hunting license. Please have a seat in the waiting room. I think i already got the perfect mentor for you.“ So he lead me to a waiting room. I sat down on a chair and just sat there. Minutes turned into hours and i was feeling like if i´m about to have a doctors appointment about a serious symptom. Twiddling my thumbs, watching my paws wiggle around... I was even so close to just bail it and leave.
„Wow back then you´ve been a Shadow of that what you are now.“ Cody chimed in.
„I sure was.“ *Korons grip around the wheel tighten a little:“ And then she entered the room...“

The door opened and the police officer let in a Braixen. On the first view she was just an ordinary Braixen until you noticed that she carried two sticks in her tail. She also looked very pretty and i blushed a little, what is luckily hard to see, thanks to the red fur around my cheeks. So her sharp gaze scanned the room and she spotted me:“ So that´s the new one, you want me to drag around?“ Great, she already viewed me as a dud. Her soft steps came closer to me. And i was almost bursting from the inside. I was paralyzed. I sat there like a part of the rooms sparse decoration:“ So you are my new student.“ Her voice stung in my earhole and i had to get everything together to answer her wih:“ M-maybe.“ She facepalmed:“ Urgh we are of to a good start. Okay let us start from square one. My name is Vex. I will be your bounty hunting mentor. And you are?“ My voice was still shivering:“ K-koron... Koron... Daioh.“ Vex made a chuckle when she heard my surname:“ Oh a pokémon with a surname. Now that´s a rarity ontop of your odd look. But i can presume you are a Buizel, right?“ I just made a nod and Vex crossed her arms:“ I see. I need to infuse you with more confidence when you want to get somewhere in the bounty hunting business. Well then, follow me.“ She gave me a hand wave and i followed her. To the best of my shaking legs ability. We left the police station and she turned to my. I immediately stood still on the place. And she walked a round around me:“ Hmm an out of the ordinary Buizel wanting to be a bounty a hunter? And yet he can barely even show a drop of confidence. Uff i can already see that you will be a hard case, Koron.“ „I-i will give it my best Mrs...“ Vex raised her hand:“ No Mr. or Mrs. Between us two. Only Koron and Vex. You got that?“ Instead of a nod i made a bow:“ Y-yes Vex. Sorry Vex.“ How much did i wished the ground to become quicksand or a Palossand to just devour me away. But then i heard something jingling. And i saw Vex twisting a key chain around her finger:“ So do you have a place to live?“ I shook my whole body:“ No. Sorry i´m homeless. You know... I left the orphanage not to long ago.“ She then suddenly gave me this strange, warm smile:“ Well then put on a smile Koron. Because i will give you shelter, as long as i have you under my wraps. But for that you follow every of my orders and commands!“ Then sudden shift in her tone gave me almost the creeps, but i just nodded. And with that she walked towards the car park, with me close behind:“ We will drive to my home first, so that you can get used to it.“ My head went up, like if i had a caffeine injection:“ Drive!? Like in car drive!? Vroom vroom and all!?“ My sudden outburst made her chuckle again and she held up her key chain again:” What do you think is this car key good for?” She pressed a button on the key and the lights on one of the cars lit up. A red Ferrari spider. That become more and more intimidating the closer I walked towards it. I don´t know why, but I felt like if the car was about to jump on me. While Vex slipped into her driver seat. I just stood there next to the passenger door. My quivering paw extending towards the door handle. Vex gestured towards me to hurry up. So I did and finally sank into the sport seat:” Buckle up.” I heard from my side, I looked over to Vex:” Buckle up I said. I value driving safety.” So I tried to buckle up and fought with the seat belt a little but I made it to buckle myself up and Vex ignited the engine of her car. We left the parking lot and all I did was looking down for a while. I felt so bad, that I was almost about to barf. But then I felt something touching my head. Back then. I wasn´t even wearing my hat. Vex was focused on the road but her smile was surely for me:” I will make a good bounty hunter out of you, don´t worry. Now enjoy the ride.” She gave the gas pedal a little press and her Ferrari up roared. I kept looking at Vex for a few seconds. But then my eyes began to wander. Her gorgeous body. Her nice slender legs until my eyes fixated on something. That was totally new for me. Yet it felt so good looking at it. Vex´s small black Braixen paw firmly pressed against the gas pedal. The toes spreading a little and then she shifted. Seeing her paws doing there work... I was sitting there with a gaping mouth, without even noticing it. Until:” You like what you see?” I quickly pulled myself back and sank deep into the seat:” I-i just never saw a driving pokémon before. That´s all.” She laughed:” Not the first time someone reacts towards me like this. But Koron. You were almost salivating over the gear shift. Would you like to learn, how to drive?” *I hastly waved my paws:” No. I think driving pokémon are wrong. It is against our nature and we should have never taken the wheel.” Oh how wrong I was back then. Driving was my purpose and my body already knew that. But my mind was blocking the thought. Me? Driving a car? Hah! Biggest nonsense of the century. So I avoided looking at Vex for the rest of the drive and I just looked out of the window. Still feeling the ups and downs of my stomach. And then we arrived at Vexs home. It was really nothing special. But I had barely made a few steps out of the car. Vex pulled me to her side:” At least have a seat.” I looked at her in total confusion:” A seat? Where?” Without any words she pulled me to the open driver side door of her car and gently pushed me towards it:” Behind the wheel. Come on Koron. Just take a seat. You don´t need to drive if you don´t want to.” The driver seat came closer and closer and I was so panicked that I almost wanted to scream. Vex made it to push me into the seat. I tightly closed my eyes and cringed my entire body together. Vex then spoke to me in a soft tone. She was whispering to me:” Relax Koron. Nothing will hurt you and you can´t damage anything. Open your eyes and see your world from a new perspective.” My body began to relax and I slowly opened my eyes and truly. For the first time in my life I saw the world from behind the wheel. It was stunning me, literally. And ever since then. I had the spark within me. That grew stronger and stronger and told me. That I have to learn to drive. And yes I not only learned from Vex how to be a good bounty hunter. But I also had my first driving lessons with her.

Koron pulled his car to the side:” Besides we arrived. I hope you liked my little story.” Cody looked out and yes, Koron was halting directly next to his home:” Yes. It was indeed cool to hear something about your past. And i´m glad how you are now. You are the best Buizel I know.” Cody left the Peugeot 207 and waved Koron a goodbye. As the Buizel drove of.
Some time later...
Screeee Korons speeding car came to a hold and the Buizel stepped out of his car:” Sorry that i´m late. I had to do something before.” Koron looked at the pokémon leaning against her Ferrari spider:” Just a few minutes and you apologize like if it was several hours.” Vex walked towards Koron:” It´s been a while since the last time we saw each other.”
Koron tipped his hat:” Yeah way to long.” Koron went forward and gave Vex a hug:” Way to long.” The hug held on for a moment until they let go each other. And Vex looked into Korons eyes. That are now burning with confidence:” So. You are ready?” Koron raised his fist:” You bet I am! Let´s race!”
