I began just drawing a cockatoo...then added more feathers and multiple eyes, added a humanoid body then with a long neck turned as though it was looking behind, over a shoulder. Things kept escalating and eventually I just tried to make it look as if it was in space. I realized about 3/4 the way in I think I was being subliminally influenced by Stellaris, one of the portraits looks similar. Maybe this counts as fan art then I'm not sure. Kept the background and outfit pretty simple, I'd rather the face, neck, and feathers/eyes stand out more than the rest.
