It was his birthday today. We started the day with me giving him breakfast in bed; jammed toast, sausage, scrambled eggs and orange juice. Afterwards, I let him sit around to watch TV while I prepared for the party that we will be having tonight. Around noon, we went out to see a movie along with lunch at a nearby resturant. He wanted to split the bill when I wanted to pay for the whole thing.
When we got back our friends were waiting in the house and surprised him. I gave one of his friends the key to the house to borrow. Seven out of ten people I invited showed up, which is more than enough. While they played video games and watched a rented movie, I was preparing a good dinner for him and his friends. After a full meal along with some wine, I brought out his large birthday cake I baked myself. We all sang to him and shared the cake before it was all gone. Afterwards, he opened up his presants that his friends gave to him. Most to all of them were expencive electronics and house-hold decorations. There was no gift from me in his pile of presants.
The time was now 11pm and everyone was getting ready to return home. I said my good-byes early before disappearing in our bedroom. I knew it will take about 30 extra minutes before his friends left since they love saying long good-byes. During that time, I was setting up the bedroom to give him my personal gift to him. I decorated the bedroom with romantic candles and lamp shades. I had the door locked the entire time. I told him that I was getting ready to take a shower.
When I knew everything was done, I unlocked the door and invited him in. I stood by the bed, dressed only in a shirt that I bought for him. I told him that I didn't have enough money to give him something expensive. I told him that all I could afford was the slik shirt that was upon my body...and my body itself. All he said to me was:
"You made me breakfast, you took me out to a movie and lunch, you surprised me with my friends coming here, you cooked me dinner...The gifts that my friends gave me can't cook or talk or hold my hand. You will always be the best presant I could ever ask for day after day. That shirt is only the gift wrapping to what I truely want most."
He slowly unbuttoned his shirt off of me, gave a small look over before expresisng his tender and emotional way of saying "Thank you" to me. I responded "Your welcome" by holding onto him throughout the night.
