Early morning photography has the advantage of reducing the possible number of people who might be in your shot, particularly when you're photographing local tourist attractions. :)
In this instance, we have two buildings which have come to define the skyline of Cardiff Bay in recent years, and which are both part of the estate of the National Assembly for Wales. The red building to the left is the Pierhead, formerly the harbourmaster's offices for Cardiff Docks, which was at one point the largest coal port in the world. Next to that is the Senedd, completed in 2006 and opened by the Queen that same year, which houses the debating chamber of the Welsh Assembly along with committee rooms, an exhibition space, and a cafe which sells amazing coconut cake. Not that I would know, of course, being on a diet. ;-p
Hope you enjoy!
