It might be a kinda silly question, but how do you go about giving a weighted look to your work? When I draw big characters, they somehow tend to look kinda buoyant, instead of fat. XP

I'd say, make sure that it sags, so stuff further away goes down more

Yeah, it's kinda about drawing characters out of more pear or teardrop shapes (to generalize) than circles, if you're going for weight. I like to pretend a character is more like a pile of water balloons stacked on top of each other, so all the fatty elements bow outwards more towards the bottom, stuff like that! This is very simplified, but it's a good place to start, I think :)

Ooooh, I see; that certainly helps, since I confess, I tend to draw circular most of the time; I think that's why most of the bigs I draw resemble balloons, since they don't have that sense of weight to them. X//D
