I must say — I’m attached to this figurine much like a favorite stuffed toy. I’m so glad I could get this item! Although it may sound crazy, I feel some sort of emotional need for this unicorn stallion.
Maybe it’s because Shining Armor embodies (as far as I know) the stallion who finds his true strength through having great friends he can be vulnerable with. In particular, he is surrounded by the love of the four ruling Princesses — and his little princess in training.
Maybe he feels like a pet at times — but it’s that sort of humility which has lifted him as high as any stallion has gone!
The relationship between Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor has inspired my own pony series about a unicorn girl with Unicorn Syndrome (similar to autism or Asperger’s Syndrome) — also training to be a Princess of Friendship (see first story here)!
