The story its telling as DD is sniffing the blood-stained mousetraps, to what it looks like the frontal ocean tides that is coming out of the darkness like that. To DD's stained halo and crosses that fill up the whole atmosphere. There is so much to love here and can't get enough of.

I'm glad you got the feeling that these were reminiscent of ocean tides!! I think they were subtle enough to be able to look like the floor incase it didn't appear to the viewer. The traps aren't triggered either so that means the ratties are still out and about hmmmmmmm :o
