A Canine Color Guard

A week after the trip to the boxing gym, Blue was getting everything set up for Thai and Soren's first time doing colour guard. Thai and Soren arrive 5 minutes after Blue finished setting the gymnasium up for the stuff they were about to do.
Thai: Ready to go my dude. Got my trunks, wraps, gloves , and... What are those? I've never seen equipment like this before? It's this a new type of boxing training you started?
Thai's face was confused. He had never seen colour guard before, only thing he has seen are stars, blood, lights, fists, bodies, and a strange white fluid.
Soren: Either way, I'm kind of excited about it. So... what exactly are we doing?
Blue: We are doing a routine involving dance, and spinning things.
Thai then looked concerned as the only dancing he'd ever done was in a boxing ring or around the punching bags. He also showed concern because of the uniforms Blue had for them on the table in the corner of the gymnasium.
Thai: Not gonna lie, I'm hella concerned about the uniforms.
Soren: I don't think we're practicing in them yet. But I'm curious as to what we will be doing for this routine. Hope it's a nice one.
Blue: The routine will be to a song called Diamonds by Rhianna
Thai: Well, it would be more fun to do something boxing/muay thai themed, but you're the person teaching us.
Blue: Don't worry, they are pants with the uniforms. Plus I remembered you are someone who loves to show your biceps, Soren, I remembered you are a fan of 3/4 length sleeves. As for me, it's similar to your uniform Soren, but I have a long sleeved shirt. Now let's get to work.
The guys began practicing, Blue started with Soren on flag, while he let Thai hit a punching bag. He taught the flag routine for Soren and it immediately stuck with him. After that, he let Soren go to the bag and Thai came over. Thai was handed the rifle part and Blue taught the rifle part. He got it for the most part, just had trouble with catching the rifle
Thai: There's a reason why these paws are only in puffy gloves, they protect my hands. This hurts!
Blue: You'll get better at this. Just keep at it. Plus, you will have fingerless gloves that are meant for this
Thai: You're right, I've taken plenty of punches from guys bigger than me, even had some of them punch in a different way.
Blue: Little TMI!
Soren: Anyways, may we try the uniforms on? You did have us send in our measurements.
Suddenly a weird voice in the corner said Oh my... then Thai went over and then popped the guy in the kisser, resulting in instant swollen lips.
Soren: NOT LIKE THAT!
The guys then went to try on their uniforms. It was required to wear a special pair of body tights that only squeezed the core and not the chest. This made Thai feel more comfortable as he did like to show of his physique just a bit. The uniforms were a perfect fit. After they left the gymnasium to get a bit of food to eat before their performance, (the had taken the uniforms off and put then in garment bags,) Thai went to the gym to have a quick sparring session with a guy he knew then went back to the gymnasium. They then went to a locker room to change. In there, they saw many faces some they knew, others not so much. Once they got changed, Thai and Soren both put on the guard gloves, thinking that they were MMA gloves. They then went out on the tarp and it was a big crowd. A horse had just left the cage match sector and a lizard left the boxing ring. Their opponents went out on stretchers. Blue handed Thai and Soren each a starbright mint. Thai also put a bandage on his cheek.
Blue: Ready?
Thai and Soren: You know it.
The guys walked out to the tarp and set their equipment down. Then assumed their starting poses. Thai in a standard double bicep flex, Soren with his left hand on his right shoulder and right hand on his right hip, and Blue with his hands clasped to his heart. The lizard, named Itami, who was previously in the ring, announced the next performance.
Itami: Next up on the roster tonight is some winter guard. This event has been mostly bloody so this will be a nice change of pace. Introducing the Damage Dog Thai, The Punchy Puppy Soren, and The Breezy Blue performing a color guard routine to the song Diamonds by Robyn Fenty.
After the announcement, the music began. They began to do their dance moves in sync. Then at the chorus, Thai picked up his rifle and tossed it with 8 rotations, while Blue did a standard J-toss Soren executed his flourishes. When the song neared its end, they put their equipment down and went to the center of the tarp and danced for one last time in sync then ended in their starting poses. When they finished their routine, the audience went nuts. Thai then looked at the audience and winked, causing several people to get nosebleeds, while Soren and Blue just waved. They then left to change into their street clothes and go to get something to eat.
Thai: Not gonna lie, that was pretty fun. It's like when I win a match and...
A series of cars passed by as Thai spoke about what usually happens to the loser in the fights he is in.
Soren: Still, thanks again for teaching us color guard. Much less painful.
Blue: NP. Anyways, let's get to the buffet. We've earned it.
They got to the buffet and paid. They then enjoyed a lot of food and then parted ways. Every few days blue would meet with Thai and Soren at the boxing gym and Thai and Soren would meet Blue at the gymnasium for color guard.
