Finished art for
Black-Kat
This is what the art piece was originally going to be: anime-style art based on the lineart I made earlier before I decided to split this piece into a lineless and lined art.
Looking back on this I see that there is perhaps more I could have done in regards to shading/highlights and the shirt's a bit plain but bleh...been ill. I've also strayed pretty far away in some regards from the reference of Kat she made but I hope that this isn't too bad.
Let me know if anything is wrong with this Kat and which everybody prefers (most seem to prefer this version from who I've already asked)

As always, this was made using the GIMP.

It's fine, sorry I took so long getting them up XD
You're pretty much the only person so far who seems to prefer the rainy one, but hey, your opinion matters more and I'm glad I decided to split the art in two.
Kat being so fiery combined with the dark colour scheme and that right now she isn't angry sorta linked in with smoke quite well. "Where there's smoke there's fire" In this art she's a bit more calm and less intense, but the smoke hints at the fire lying within should you anger her. Linking in with the rainy piece the smoke remains for a while after the fire has been extinguished (temporarily or otherwise), implying here that more depth to the character is being revealed beyond the sometimes violent first impressions some may get, instead showing the cute, kind girl that is really there...the truth that the smoke caused by her fire often conceals for some.
...o.O Hmm, I didn't think there was actually that much hidden meaning in it when I quickly threw together that BG. You could focus on other things like the light (sunshine?) shining through the smoke and that behind the smoke there is light and the meaning behind that but you know, I'd be here forever. XD
