I think that's the last sort of sad emotional picture for a while, the upcoming weeks should become a little more upbeat again!

I really like your composition on this piece. I'm not normally a fan of depth of field but it fits here to capture their sense of isolation in a public place. The glasses, while poor bartending, help convey they're drinking with an agenda. The only piece that's unclear to me are the taps(?) Over their shoulder.
The body language and expression finish off the message well. I am curious if it was intentional to have them looking down at the viewer or if it just worked out that way because you're trying to place the viewer at a nearby table?

Hey, yeah the depth of field is something that works sometimes better, sometimes less so but is just necessary as a timesaver for these tier of pictures. As for the taps... yeah in retrospect probably could have done them a bit better, also probably didn't help that i cropped it a bit more tightly than it was originally planned around that edge. Hmmm, as for the eyes, not necessarily planned, the viewer isn't really supposed to be a physical manifestation here, the whole aspect of being alone is a major part of it.
If you're interested, a time-saving trick I've found for getting that smoother look, at least on the lower luminosity portions, is usage of Filter Average and/or Gaussian Blur at very small values; they'll 'fuzz' the finer brushstrokes in a way that looks fairly natural to the eye.
For example, if you were to point-to-point select the lammergeier's shirt or the darker portions of his forearm, a gaussian blur with a value between 0.25 and 1 will give it a 'fuzzy' look that will soften up the edges of the brush strokes.
(And alternating Guassian Blur with Add Noise will forgive a thousand sins on most any work.)
