I admit, I'm not in love with the new animation style for Ducktales. Seems a bit on the cheapo side to me. Not to say I didn't try it out when the series first started. I actually liked the first two episodes, but then it seemed to go off the rails for me a couple more episodes in and I quit. Even David Tennant couldn't save it for me and he was the reason why I tried it out in the first place! I saw the pictures of Karnage and what I call the new Tin Foil Vulture. Wasn't impressed. :(
It's pretty sad what you say. It's sad especially that Disney seems to claim new DuckTales is a great cartoon series. I don't mean I don't agree with you. I think cartoonists of many nowadays 2D animations series seem to be more lazy than those one in times when hand drawing animation was the main method if not only method for doing animation. That's why new DuckTales for example can look "cheapo" as you said.
If about that episode with Don Karnage, maybe it wasn't so bad but honestly it wasn't awesome yet too. Why? Don Karnage has a new voice (most people complain about it), there's no Mad Dog and Dumptruck, Karnage and his crew don't have tails, even Karnage's famous line "Yes-no?" isn't used in any time there. Those things need fixing according to me to make that episode really good.

I have heard a few theories as to why Jim Cummings didn't do the voice of the..erm.. new Karnage. One is that he ended up being busy doing both Tigger's and Pooh's voices for their recent movie, Christopher Robin and didn't have time and the other is that some people might have been offended at him doing Karnage's accent. Yeah, the SJW's. Sigh... No, when I think of Don Karnage and Talespin I think of the original designs overall. I am not against some evolutions, but most of today's animations just fall flat.
I completely understand you. I think political correctness is a one big mistake. In theory it protects racial minorities from insulting but in practical it more harms them than helps. Political correctness was also one of reasons why US has a president whom it has now but election somebody who's a racist is definitely not the best option if about fighting with political correctness. :( Between racism and political correctness should be the 3rd option as well.
