all I can think of when I hear that word is that old episode of Dexter's Lab where he loses his pet chupacabra, Charlie. And whenever they said "EL CHUPACAAABRAAA" the goats would all go "BLEEEH"

Actually, I think your right, it's either that or monster quest spelled it wrong to. Either way, that's how I first saw it spelled out and how I first heard it pronounced.
