I also have to shrink pictures to 25% of the working size in order to not take up infinite space. To be fair, if you want to make a picture larger than what FA will allow, you upload the submission, and then immediately after posting it, go back to "change submission file" and pick it again. It will upload it at it's true size then, no matter how big.
