I'd stay away from pleather. If you could find a very thin costume-grade vinyl that might work, but it'd have to be VERY thin, almost like a fabric. Honestly though, were it me, I'd use a shiny polyester based fabric that wasn't satin. If you go polyester, you can find something that shimmers. Go to your local fabric store and look in their dancewear section for ideas!
