The hair and the gold detail is very nice indeed. It definitely sticks out the most :) Have you been simplifying your shading or something lately? I cant put my finger on it but the shades seem less shiny and more muted or something. Or maybe it's the lack of backlighting, I dunno. Either way I can see some sort of evolution here! Looks great.
You've got quite an analytical skill there kusa. You're pretty much right. I normally color Dark/shadows/ >> Colors >> light but I realize not all elements of an image has all three. I'm just trying to define and relearn that and how to form shapes with just shading. ^^
