Now that I have a new(ish) motherboard installed, I can get down to business again...
One of the shop's beloved rigs is a 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty, thanks to 4x4 and functioning A/C. Plus it looks good. Its main job is refueling duties (a small tank and pump is mounted on the bed), a job that I've often been tasked with (I work with a heavy machinery rental business). My time with this rig increased exponentially after Hurricane Irma and Maria pummeled the island. It started as a doodle to kill time while waiting in lines and stuff, using another doodle for reference.
I had this drawing going up and down with me in my work binder for well over a year, slowly finishing it when I'm stuck waiting. That's why it's in stationery; it's the notepad that I carry in my binder. Given that I only carry disposable ball-point pens, you'll notice that it's all ink. From start to finish. I used minimal correcting fluid.
Aside from a couple of inaccuracies in the truck's front bumper and barely visible speed lines, I'm very pleased how it turned out.
I have another all-ink stationery drawing in my binder, waiting to be scanned. Stay tuned.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I actually did drive this rig with my head sticking out the window. It wasn't as fun as portrayed above. See the wipers in the upright position? The post-hurricane workload was so much that there wasn't time to take care of the crapped-out wiper motor. Other co-workers and me had to bear it during rainy days, using a squeegee to get rid of the excess before setting out or when stopped. One downpour was so bad that I decided that driving slowly with my head out the window couldn't be much worse. It wasn't any better. I don't remember if I waited out or pressed on, but I got back.
