Anyone who is acquainted with Mitchell and Ina Goe would be hard pressed to find a family resemblance between them. These cousins, aside from having the same last name, the same ethnicity, and exhibiting extremely high intelligence, don't share much in common physically or in temperament. Ina is just so serious and business-minded, cutting to the point like a scalpel through flesh - and if she's ever cracked a smile, no one dares to come forward as a witness. Mitch is... Strange. Very nice, friendly, frank and (seemingly) very simple, but undeniably strange. They're about as unalike as two humans can be and still be related.
Except for the fact that they're not humans, but aliens known as Mi-Go in bio-organic frameworks (i.e. meat suits made out of human bodies and otherworldly, nigh incomprehensible technology) - and the people whose bodies they're using to disguise themselves share no genetic kinship. Ina and Mitch are related, though; specifically, they are Spore-mates, both beings having budded from the same source. Ina is older than Mitch (she declines to say by how much), and in her time has proven her merit, despite her unusually diminutive size for their species, through hard work, determination - and a willingness to explore unorthodox, sometimes unpopular options to reach a goal, especially if the rewards outweigh potential risks. Advancement of her race's knowledge and technological prowess has always been Ina's highest priorities - which has fed into her own rise to the position of Overmonitor of the Earth's Northwestern quadrant, overseeing various activities of her species in North and Central America, along with parts of South America, Western Africa and Europe, and acting as an intermediary between the Mi-Go and organizations like the Supernatural Response, Research and Relations Agency to ensure smooth operations. Sentimentality does not factor into her drive.
Well, it mostly doesn't. There is, after all, Mitch. His intellect is a match for the common Mi-Go - if not vastly surpassing them - and Ina has yet to encounter another of their race that equals him in creativity and knack for innovation... Yet, by the standards of their race, Mitch was functionally autistic, defective - unacceptable, and slated for termination upon this discovery. Ina's thoughts were torn by her Spore-mate's predicament. Yes, he thought and acted in ways that did not make sense to her, he was strange and made her feel uncomfortable at times because he was different - but he also intrigued her, as well. And did those differences truly warrant extinguishing a brilliant intellect? Set to a task and properly supervised, he could be an invaluable contribution to science - behavioral and psychological studies at the least, not counting potential productivity. Besides - some said that she was flawed for her physical inadequacy, but her mind, will and capabilities outweighed that. She saw little difference between the two situations.
So Ina, using her position and influence, argued her kin's case and saw to it that he would be one of her personal projects. She gave him the assignment of "gathering knowledge" and set him loose on a New England coast after equipping Mitch with funds, his first bio-organic framwork, and a few tips about interacting with Terran life - advice that Ina is certain he didn't hear because he got distracted by a seagull.
Several decades, four destroyed meat suits, and hundreds of the most bizarre reports and observations - even for an experienced Mi-Go such as herself - Ina is uncertain she should have let Mitch have as much free reign as she's allotted him. He is still strange to her - stranger still after his time socializing with the native lifeforms - and his actions regularly perplex, confound, and frustrate her. Yet he is happy, healthy, and exercising his mental acuity in the most fascinating ways - so Ina cannot honestly say she would make a different choice.

Horrified, while the characters here are part of the Felton project. I'm trying to kick the dust off, get through the backlog, and get the creative juices going. Which is also why this is a Q&A - if you have questions for Ina or Mitch, please, ask away!

Ina: Mm... Yes, I have experimented with sexual intercourse with other entities through the use of my framework. I heard about it and was curious; it is part of my species' nature to be curious, after all - and to satisfy that curiosity. I found it... Educational, in a manner of speaking. I do not indulge often, as my duties take up the majority of my time. When I do... I am most interested in collecting data on the anatomical variances of other entities, along with behavioral information - and how to improve on the verisimilitude of our bio-organic constructs in such in-depth, close physical contact with human and humanoid beings.
Mitch: Yes, I have many sweaters with imagery of Earth animals on them, along with other garments. This one's image is not as realistic an interpretation of a canine as some of my others, but there is something about it that I cannot quantify that makes me feel happy. It is a gift from Harriet Sparrow and is quite soft and warm, much like she is.

So, what you're saying in layman's terms is that you try to find new and unique partners if you can, but otherwise you indulge sexually to better both your understanding of it, and to improve the capabilities of your kind's disguises so they can better approximate normal human sexual experiences. That's pretty neat, actually. Now I'm curious what the most unique partner you've had is. And do you actually derive any kind of pleasure from it, or is it purely clinical?
And what makes you happy is probably the fact that your friend gave it to you, man. Sentimentality can go a long way. Do you have any other gifts from friends that mean a lot to you? Other things that make you happy? Also, how are you liking this framework? Is this the longest you've been in one?

Ina: My most unique partner? Hrm... I encountered a most curious specimen of sentient aquatic life-form off the coast of during a visit to one of our Arctic facilities. It was a semi-humanoid of indeterminate race, though I suspect it may have been a very exotic variant of Deep One or some other life not originally native to Earth - that exhibited features of what you'd call a Lion's mane jellyfish... It - or, I should say, she - made interesting use of her multitude of tentacles. As to if I derive pleasure from it? Yes - yes I do. When I'm tapped into my framework, I can experience all the stimuli it does - and sexual pleasure is perhaps one of the more pleasant, if distracting, sensory inputs to be experienced.
Mitch: I have several gifts from friends that I am very fond of. My favorites are the "drinky bird" Clarice McNamara got me for Christmas a few years ago, an encyclopedia of North American birds that has a device that plays their songs that Graham got me, an adult wamp skull from Mar, a set of D&D manuals from Toby and Ron, and my Spore-Mate gave me a complete dissection kit that I have found most useful in my experiments. And I like this framework very much; I have been using it since 1998, and I am very comfortable in it. It currently is my longest lasting framework; my previous one would be the next longest, but there was an incident with a turtle and a semi-truck. Ina was very upset over that, but I don't know why - the turtle was unharmed.

Oooh. Interesting. Sounds vaguely familiar to someone I know around here. I'm not trying to focus only on sex with you, it's just...Well, you're very, very attractive, and I'm intrigued. Another question about intimacy: Have you had a worst experience? Do you masturbate for your own enjoyment? Do you ever have any kind of experiences outside of your framework? I know that your kind don't reproduce sexually, but it intrigues me that you can experience sexual pleasure. On a non-intimate level, do you have any local friends or associates you like to deal with? Or do you have any enemies of sorts?
Mitch, that's awesome. Drinky Birds are adorable. You really love animals, huh? I know you make lots of crazy experiments, like your pet Armadillo. Have you ever had a crush on anyone since you've been here? And what's your favorite framework after this one? I know you were an Asian woman for a while, right?

Ina: There's nothing wrong with your questions - you are curious, and I am here to answer questions about myself... And thank you - I find the appearance of this framework appealing as well; I have been maintaining her for almost a century now, and I am exceptionally fond of her. As to your additional questions, in order: My worst experience was one involving another Mi-Go, due to a lack of experience on their part - again, in our frameworks. Without going into excessive detail: It was short, unsatisfying, and awkward. And no, I don't have any sexual experiences outside my framework - not that I can't still experience comparable sensations, but my natural form isn't exactly designed for that type of intercourse.
On the non-intimate end of things - I have several S.3.R.A. associates that I communicate with, both on official and personal matters. I am... Rather close with the Elder Thing known as "Ted" on their staff. Of course I know Graham, Mitch's current chaperone, and some of their associates. Of course there are those of my race that I coordinate and monitor, but I would not say that I am friends with any of them... As to enemies - in the process to reach the position of Overmonitor, I have earned rivals among my own kind, and there is competition between the different quadrants of this world and other planets to produce - technology, resources, useful intelligence and increases in knowledge. My most irksome competitor is the Overmonitor of the Northeast quadrant... We do not agree on what methods are best used to maintain relationships with the authorities of native populations, nor what... Resources... Are acceptable to tap into, or to what extent.
Mitch: Yes, I very much love animals - though they do not always love me, especially if I am not in my framework. They do not like my scent or my innate vocalizations, so I have taken great efforts to make sure my disguise masks those details. Ina was most interested in those developments... Digster doesn't mind, though - he is my special friend. I think he is happy to not be stuffed full of sawdust and having glass eyes anymore.
A crush on anyone? To my knowledge, I have not crushed any other beings, except perhaps insects, and certainly plant life - though I have been crushed on by a few things... That semi-truck was not fun.
Oh, yes, when I was Michelle! That was my last framework - that was my only female framework. I had not seen a naked humanoid female up close like that before, and studying the dimorphism was very interesting. That framework had a very similar build to Harriet, but less feathery. I don't know why, but I got many compliments and requests to spend time with males when I went out in public when I was Michelle - but I was busy with projects. I think I prefer having a male framework - breasts are inexplicably appealing, and zippers on pants can lead to unpleasant mishaps,
but the additional clothing article for human females are very bothersome and expensive.

I see. An unfortunate encounter, then...A shame that you had to have a bad experience; hopefully they've mostly been positive in the long run. Hrmm...Have you ever been intimate with more exotic creatures? A Chimera, for instance?
And I'm not surprised that you had enemies among your own kind; Mi-Go do seem rather like the sort to form strong rivalries for positions of importance. And I'm assuming you're of the mind that when it comes to the "resources" here, you'd rather they not harvest any humans unwillingly, yes?
And I'm sorry that you have trouble with animals in your natural form, Mitch, but you guys ARE very alien, and many animals can't deal with that. I think Digster loves you because he's spent enough time with you to get used to you. He's a good boy!
And that's...Cute, Mitch. I should have figured you didn't follow what the question was, but it was interesting to try. Please avoid trucks in the future, if you can help it.
And I think I understand why you had those "troubles" with males of the species, if your description of that framework was accurate. Perhaps it's for the best that you're not Michelle anymore. You could have run into more trouble than you were ready to handle, and it sounds like you had some odd issues with your own anatomy at the time.

Ina: Mmm... I have had encounters with a few especially exotic life forms on this planet - but I had not had the opportunity to engage in sexual intercourse with a Chimera. As I understand them in our reality, related to sentient lifeforms on Earth, what is typically referred to as a Chimera are Proteans that blend characteristics from multiple animals - more than the standard human with a single other creature. You aren't a Protean, but you certainly fit the description - and I will admit to curiosity and interest in further... Study.
You are quite astute in your assumption. Yes - while there is an overpopulation issue with the human race, I find the practice of abducting live, involuntary specimens distasteful. While they may not be our equals technologically or in knowledge, I have still found humans to be a very capable, innovative species - they have potential, when they aren't being distracted by petty feuds and politics, inane or inhibitive rituals and traditions, and politics. My fellow Overmonitor - they refer to themselves as Chen in their dealings with humans - does not share my view. There are a surprisingly wide number of humanoid entities in the universe - and their bodies are of great use in the production of bio-organic frameworks and allowing for an easier infiltration into other populations. There is a demand, they have access to a supply. He views it as a simpler matter than it truly is.
Mitch: He is the best boy - but all animals are good boys and good girls, I think. It is just a matter of how they are treated, yes?
Except geese. No matter how I treat geese, they are not nice birds.
*Mitch pauses as Ina steps up to him and yanks him down to her level to whisper in his ear for a moment. Mitch blinks, his mouth forms an 'O' for a moment, and then straightens as she goes back to her own side of things.*
I have been made aware that you were inquiring to if there is anyone I have romantic or sexual interests in... Well... Er... I am frequently busy with my experiments, and I feel that it would be inappropriate to engage in such activities.

Well, that's definitely a subject to discuss later, I think. The curiosity is mutual, though I admit my interest isn't exclusively academic.
Humans have a very distinct propensity for innovation and creativity; admirable, but sometimes troublesome for their own well-being. I'm curious, how did your kind react to things like space travel being invented, and the invention of the atomic bomb? And Chen sounds like he has little actual experience with humanity, so hasn't formed a real connection. It strikes me as if you have.
Mitch, MOST animals are good boys are girls; some just lack the capacity to be nice. Like wasps. Those things are just mean. But yes, most animals qualify. Even geese, sometimes.
It's fine, Mitch; I was curious because you didn't seem like the sort to do that kind of thing. Your work is important, and that's respectable.

Ina: A mix of surprise, apprehension, fear and intrigue on both the matters of the atomic bomb and space travel was the general consensus for my people. The bomb, and the tensions between nations that followed during the Cold War, made some of my kind seriously consider pulling out from our facilities and ventures on Earth, anticipating that humans would destroy themselves and the planet with it, given enough time. Space travel... Some feel like the day will come where we do make proper contact with humanity - others feel that we should try to snuff out the potential for humans to get off planet and connect with the rest of the cosmos, for our safety and others. It varies... I personally think that there are possibilities for great collaboration - once humanity has progressed a bit further.
And you would be right about Chen and myself... Some of my kind think that my prolonged and extensive contact with humans and other lifeforms that call Earth home have warped my sense of propriety and my judgment. I say that it has given me further insights, and open new avenues to explore in our goals - and the results speak for themselves, I think.
Mitch: Thank you. I can appreciate your curiosity. I am curious about many things as well - and we only learn if we ask questions, yes?
