Samuel de Vega is Queen Zoe's son and second child. During the Revolution that overturned the corrupt government of Croix-Verte, he served in the Air Force before joining the rebels with his mother and sisters. He is credited with seven confirmed kills, and comes by his rank of colonel through hard work and leadership.
His full and correct style is His Highness Colonel the Prince Samuel. He tries to ignore the royal title as much as possible.
He's shown here posing next to a Rain Island-made Ravenwing R-17 air superiority fighter* which is being bought by the Caribbean kingdom to replace its aging American F-16s.

A lot of people seem to forget that, while European otters are cute, Sea Otter males can be the most psychopathic little bastards imaginable. They've been known to take their own children hostage in order to get food - if there were a slice-of-life drama, the female Sea Otter would be the battered wife, while the male Sea Otter would be the local psycho who lives in a trailer.
