Yeah, well considering that the point of an Anthropomorphic character is to give them Human-like characteristics, I agree that it is unlikely that an anthropomorphic snake can pull off the massive jaw opening thing like the actual animal they are based on but that's fair enough to say that this idea was just for fun. To be honest I wouldn't take this concept on board myself because there's really no reason for them to do so (unless they are those sort that vore on people or animals in a single mouthful...), I imagine most anthro snakes eating in a more normal fashion like my own Sarah.
Down the hatch!
This is brilliant. It makes you think about how interesting the interactions between different species would have to be, especially in a relationship where you get to see every single one of their habits and behaviors first hand. Which is something I think most folks in this community don't really put that much thought into. Plus, as I've said before, it's always nice to see furry characters exhibiting some of the same behaviors as their feral cousins, just to remind us that they aren't just humans with fur. Or scales, I suppose, in Kate's case.

It's certainly an underutilized aspect of interspecies relationships. A lot of the times you see couples and we focus mostly on the human behaviors, kinky sex, social interactions, etc, but in this case I had the idea since there are a lot of things Kate does that causes Lucy to make that face, but at the same time it's not just her outgoing and extroverted flirty nature, sometimes, a snake's gotta snake. ;)
Kate likes to mess with Lucy sometimes though it's all in good fun.
