TeaFeathers Historical Figures - Spearmaster Okoje
Spearmaster Okoje was a lion of the noble warrior class during the Dimali war, living on the grassy plains of what is now Pel'Dimali territory. When the flying hordes of Alecani came for his village, he took up arms alongside his brothers and sisters. His spear throwing abilities were well known before this battle, but after this he became known across the entire empire.
As the horizon darkened with Alecani wings, he stationed himself on the front line on a hill. They were yet too far for archers to reach as he took up a spear and threw. The volley was followed by a clap of thunder, deafening those around him. The spear rocketed through the Alecani ranks and they fell by the dozens, leaving a hole in the incoming cloud of invaders. Standing alone on the hill with a collection of 8 spears, he thwarted the Alecani army before any Cat Clan blood could be shed.
It was only when he was called to another front that his territory fell to the Dimali. He never forgave himself for abandoning his home. Years later when he was reunited with his family, his hunting grounds and territory gone, his name still carried weight. He traded their safety for his service to another noble lion family. With his family safe in the far eastern part of the continent, he fought for another 14 years before he was finally overwhelmed and taken down.
His bloodline lives on in what is left of Cat Clan territory, thriving with their own territory and hunting ground. To this day spearmasters of immense skill are born into the family.

You're welcome! He looks very impressive- he reminds me of my General Bridgebane. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/4107841/
Thank you! They avoid that Big Doom more than other species for sure, but mostly by virtue of their biology. These guys haven't evolved to rely on spirit energy like alecani have, so they are physically mostly unharmed. The fallout claims a lot of them though. It's a big bad apocalypse for everyone, just in different ways.
