This is a piece that I designed to create a sound for magic itself. To get the feel I wanted, I modulated through quite a few key signatures and presented both a light and dark (not evil) side to the music and by extension magic.
by 'not evil' I mean that dark magic isn't always evil magic. It's just light magic but stronger.
I hope you like it and music can be interpreted in many ways, tell me how you interpreted this music and how it made you feel in the comments below.

Oh, and here I thought this would be tame RPG music. I really enjoyed the change in tone in 0:43(surprisingly enough, it even sounds like something I am currently working on myself). It all turned pretty sinister, which I really enjoyed and didn't see coming.
You also did a good job "reintroducing" your theme after the dark passage. It definitely felt different the second time I heard it and I found it more enjoyable.
The ending was nice, though I sort of wanted more. It serves it's purpose and sounds good, but for me, something tiny was missing.
But all in all, it's very nice. I could totally see this in an RPG game. How it made me feel? Well, it made me feel ready for an adventure!

Thanks for sharing this, it's really interesting to see the different viewpoints from different people and I know what you mean by the ending, it invokes this incomplete feeling and I've actually made a darker version to explore the darker side of it called 'Blue Fire'. It's not out yet but it will be out in about 2-3 days. however, I may consider making an extended version of morality with more of a complete feeling at the end.
Again, thanks for sharing your opinion, it really helps, your awesome.

I know right, I get the idea and I get the idea done but then once it's done it turns out that its actually quite small (in size) despite it being grandious and high (in quality) and after the main idea, it's very hard to expand on said idea. it's always nice meeting fellow musicians and composers and to see that I'm not the only one having these sorts of problems is reassuring that they can be solved eventually. It just takes time.
The worst part is, you know this is your only take on this melody. You can never use that melody in any piece again (I mean you can, but that is often very cheap, bad and unoriginal).
But if I try milking the melody, it just feels... meh. Forced? I don't know. Plus I tend to listen to my pieces very often during it's making and at some point, the short version is the version that sticks to my head, further blocking any major change.
Ugh, yeah, maybe it'll change someday. Probably not.

Oh yeah totally. A reoccurring motif is absolutely necessary in any good piece and seeing it develop and change is part of the fun listening to music at all.
But I mean you can't use that motif again in a different piece. I would find it odd if I used (for example) the beginning from "sinking" in a new piece. Well unless they are somehow linked to one another.
