I took Bubba on an earth-bound hunting trip to replenish our stock of Velonasaurs after a Alpha rex crippled the main base on The Center. At the end of the hunt we wound up with a perfect 10/10 150 Female velonasaur, which is what we set out for. Perfect tamed at 223.

Hunting for stats in ARK is alot like trophy hunting in real life. I mean yeah you don't ride a wannabe Chinese dragon but, consider the similarities.

-You spend a few days preparing, making sure your weapon of choice is in mint condition, maybe even making sure it's hitting it's target at your comfort range.

-You make or modify your own ammunition to be suited for the game you're after.

-Check the weather before you head out. IRL weather will throw off your shots, in ARK, the weather is mainly server ping, and also affects your shots.

-Once in the field, you stalk and examine as many individuals as you can, looking for the best individual to take down. In ARK it's the highest stat male or female you can find. IRL it's the buck with the biggest rack and the most meat on it's shoulders.

-You then take a moment to examine the terrain, there might be a chase and you want to know where it's going to go.

-You take your shot, watch it run, hopefully don't need to take another shot.

-You track it down across a wild landscape and set to work. In Ark it's protecting the creature, IRL, field dressing the creature.

-Head home with your bounty, admire your new acquisition and eat like a king.
