nids are only good because they killed our First Compay and absorbed our best. i am making it a point to get VERY good at squashing bugs and greenskins. (From what i hear nid players will have to rethink the whole way they play with all the new codex changes.ca)
Well. The funny thing is, people keep assuming that there's all powercreep in the new codices, but only if they compare them to the old ones. If you compare them with the new ones out, they fit right in, especially with the major changes 5th did. It never made any sense to me with the old nid codex, how just because you were in synapse, you got eternal warrior... But there's still gripes I have about the new ones that are out, and I'm sure other people have their issues as well.. Like why in the fuck do almost all the Space Marine HQ's NOT have Artificer armor, at the very least? And why did they lose Wargear? HQ's and Elites should be modifiable out the ass. And they boned scouts. Other things are like in the Ork codex, with the Force Field that gives every unit that cover save.. I've seen people make some pretty big Battlewagons, and effectively give their whole damn army cover and obscured..
And I'm going to refrain from even saying anything about Bolter Bitches, because then I'd probably have this comment deleted for the amount of vulgarities typed..

Heh, well, I'd rather go with the Bolter Bitches over the Spandex Pansies. I hate the Dark Eldar completely; I have since they were introduced as a full army in 3rd Edition.
Honestly, so far I think that 3rd and 4th Editions were the best, so I've stuck with those rules. Mostly 4th, because 3rd 'Nids got screwed without lube, especially the Genestealers.

BEWARE, ENEMIES OF...er...
Hang on, what is the catchall term for the species in our empire but not those outside it again? Because these tyranids are getting awfully close, and I need to finish the battlecry before-

*No, really, check TSOALR if you don't believe me!

If Necrons were written now, the monolith would be the size of a scout titan, the average warrior would have two wounds and an S5 gun and there would be no *&?^% Phase Out rule.
Tyranids pampered much? They had at least two updates since the last Necron one, and now they have Epic - scale monstrous creatures available in the standard codex.
I want my Necron Pylon - and the rules updated to take advantage of 4th and 5th editions. I mean, the Necrons are really underpowered against vehicles especially, as the list is balanced as if a full squad of warriors had some chance of blowing up anything in the game. New rules? Not so much, so there's only one way to destroy armour 12, let alone 13/14 - and that's with a heavy support choice.
So yes, new codex would be great.

There's one or two known Chapters that do the same thing as well. One with Chaos gear, at the least...
And I'd love to see someone write a story about a Chapter that wasn't so 'religious', and was full forward thinking in terms of technology.
"Ohh.. That Sarge has a plasma pistol... Rolled a one.."
'That means you have to take a wound!'
"Nope. My Chapter got it's Techmarine's head out of the Machine God's ass. Everything works how it should. Now where was I... Plasma pistol, 18" range, S8 AP3 Small Blast template..? Yeah.. that unit is dead."

KAH ha! Sounds kinda like the Iron Warriors, though they're Chaos side. They don't use demons, and they don't worship shit. They just kill and loot and pillage whatever they want, and if they see a big shiny tank or a bulldozer or something they steal it, paint it their own colors, and ride it back out into battle XD
"And lo, did the heretics rise up from their shadows of filth and darkness and decay to strike at the heart of the Imperium once more. And His angels were there to shield the weak and protect the Golden Throne. They fought with bolter and daemonhammer, with sacred chants and faith unending. From every Chapter, from every banner, they fell from the Heavens, His will would be done, no matter the cost. There was no sacrifice too great, no request too threatening to themselves that they would ever turn away from. With sword and fire they stomped out the taint of madness from this world as they had countless others.
