The spell itself was hideously complicated, containing six rings and an energy inversion midway through that had Cyril swearing loudly into the air every time he forgot about it. Considering each ring needed its own sequence of movements and utterances doing anything beyond three rings was impractical for most images, and often impossible. Cyril though was far from average, and he was as driven as he had ever been, if not more so. Eventually he could manage it to a competent degree- or at least he hoped so, for he had no way of testing it.

The main issue he encountered was that you could not create mass from nothing, and magic alone would not suffice. He needed something to take from, a living host, and he was reluctant to take from Drak, since the wolf had been helping him out. But still, it was temporary, and he could return them to normal afterwards.

When he finally saw Drak again, the wolf was understandably annoyed but also a little concerned.

“Where the hell have you been? I haven't seen you for days!”

Cyril walked up, his tail lashing nervously side to side. “Listen, I have a favour to ask. Can I...uh...borrow some of your muscle?”
