So here is a character that I've been kicking around with. I've wanted a goo character for a while now.
What exactly are they all about?

In short, it was an experiment in nanites that resulted in the feared creation of grey goo. A nanite swam that assimilates everything it touches into more nanites. In this case instead of consuming the entire planet it ended up becoming sapient.

Maybe it is not even from this world and had consumed an entire planet before reaching that state, who knows!

What is known is that it has taken on the form of a large pawbed imp. This because I find it super entertaining that while nanites are able to manipulate things at such a fine microscopic scale, meanwhile he as just terrible manual dexterity thanks to those hands. It is easuer to just grab something and use the nanites he is made of than trying to use the fingers for any fine work.

The imp form is due to his rather mischevious ways. He is not intentionally bad, but is a lifeform that is still trying to figure out what it and the world around it is. I have no idea the way he looks is something he decided himself or perhaps that of the first people he encounted when gaining sentience.

He still maintains the ability to convert matter into more of himself, but tends to have more control over it and less interest in just consuming everything in sight (Most days). That is not to say he wont try to change people, bloat them up or merge with them. Maybe he will instead try and copy some of them into himself.

I am also playing with giving him a alternate more demonic dad-bod he can take with enough matter. Its just a fun character to mess around with what sorta things a goo/nanite character would be capable of..

My main issue is I just can't get a color palette I like.
One idea is that he is sort of like that thermal color change stuff that is normally a black/blue and goes through the colors as he heats up.. or that his color changes depending on his mood.

The going ones is a dark blue witha purple shean with a redish-orange horns and claws, or possibly grey with glowing bluehorns and claws.

Still messing around with the colors but just not happy with any of them. Any opions would be welcome!
