Odin is quite the inventor, and in our time off he's always tinkering with some new gadget or something. A lot of them are useful for fighting bad guys! And sometimes they're needed just for reversing certain things that happen to us on adventures. But... Of course inventing a new gadget is a bit of a trial and error process sometimes. They don't always work as intended... This specific remote was probably meant to help out anytime we find ourselves age regressed by a third party source... But looks like it malfunctioned and the two of us have been transformed into little baby infants! Well, I obviously don''t mind the regression but Odin might be slightly annoyed that it malfunctioned and he's stuck like this again. And with his little puppy arms it might be a little harder to do repairs now so we might be stuck this way for awhile! I mean at least we don't have to worry a villain will regress us if we're already this smol!

Storyline wise, Odin is the one Calex actually lives with who is raising the young kitten. Well, raising might not be the right word given age shenanigans, but looking after and mentoring nonetheless.
So naturally Calex is very attached to his wolf buddy, no matter what age, species or size they happen to be at the time.
