I cannot deny that since my return in August 2017, I have missed Japan on occasion. So when I saw a cherry tree blooming in the grounds of the hotel at JFTW 2019, I couldn't resist getting a shot. It was then that I felt a compulsion to take part in the old Japanese tradition of 'hanami' or '花見', which involves laying down a blanket beneath a blossoming cherry tree, and having a picnic bristling with booze. :)
