Hey there all, dont worry im not dead! just super busy managed to get the time to reboot cyber though, it did take some thought as normally when I reboot characters, I normally completely erase the old design from my head almost (hard to explain) but I guess i pretend Im making the character anew but also attempt to carry over the defining features of the old design


Anyways this is Cyberpatches reboot, for those who are new to cyber or fancy reading a reminder, cyber since she was very young always had a passion and drive to learn about technological advancements and was very good at technologically related tasks and maintenance etc. This ability however got her in trouble with the American department of national defense after she accidentally hacked into the pentagon with a small smartwatch that she took a liking too after someone had left it outside a cafe on a table.

They tracked the hacking signal at its source and saw it was on the move, troops where deployed to the area after a briefing to seek and destroy the source as if left to keep going, the entirety of the database would be copied to a smartwatch left for anyone to look at. They tracked the signal right to the watch and found cyber with it, the troops tried to scare cyber away hoping that she would go and leave the watch behind, she was scared by the troops and scarpered off with the watch, The troops gave chase and one of them lobbed a fragmentation grenade cyber was fast but not fast enough. The grenade landed a little ways in front of her and detonated. The fragments did considerable damage to her face and body, her eyes got the worst of it as she went wide eyed in shock right before the grenade went off. IN agony and shock she wasn't able to move at all she had no control of her bodily functions her vision now red with blood and completely blind its like someone had thrown gritty salt into her eyes and pushed it hard in to make sure.

After an hour she managed to recover a little from the shell-shock but she was still extremely weak, blind and wasn't able to balance or move very well, she got on the ground and instinctively started to dig down to try and hide herself for any predators knowing that she could not go into the trees in her current state, the soil in the ground hurt her eyes even more. she was in this underground cavity for a couple of days and food and water was stating to become a real issue. She tried to make her way to the surface again, but the lack of food and her injuries mean that she was so weak that she could no longer move to break the soil above her.

Unable to move underground, blind, injured, starving and utterly parched she finally got herself ready for death to take her, laying there defeated her brief life flashed before her eyes, which is when she found that her tail was being tugged on she thought to herself "i thought id disguised myself better... well... at least I hope I taste good..." thinking that she was going to make lunch for a predator of sorts.

Cyber was suddenly ripped from her cavity grave and was held suspended in the air, she heard a metallic voice which appeared to say "God, what happened to ya?" she felt herself being moved through the air and then felt like she was being cradle held, support across her whole body onto something which felt like some kind of metal plate, rather than being held up by her tail.

She suddenly felt herself being jettisoned in the air, still with this support plate a strange force pushed her onto the metal plate and ran through her fur, it was a euphoric shard of peace in a war of pain, she felt like this for a little while until an impact jolted through her tiny body, like she had just been dropped, but still with the strange cradle support which seemed to reduce the impact, despite laying down she suddenly found herself being jolted around an she felt some kind of movement, a momentum, like she was being carried by a moving object.

this movement continued until she found herself stationary for a few moments she felt herself being lowered down slowly and she found herself sliding from this metal plate and onto much softer ground into which she sank into, she felt the surface conform to her body and it felt extremely soft, like clouds or baking flour.

In these mixed feelings she heard the same metallic voice appear to say "This will help you, just a small scratch" followed a sharp scratching pain in her arm she had no strength left to move and didn't even have the energy to let out a small yelp, this sharp pain quickly subsided as she felt herself become drowsy, and eventually she drifted away to cloud 9.

After some time Cyber slowly woke up, able to see with both eyes she tested briefly by holding each eye shut to check if she could see from the other one, and she could indeed see from both, however her left eye didn't feel right, she rubbed it and there was no feeling at all from the eye and her right eye still felt somewhat gritty but it felt normal this didnt it felt like a completely different eye like it wasn't hers, she looked around and she realized a more important question, "where the hell am I?" her question appeared to be answered by a unanimous slamming of doors and a 9ft tall very intimidating man like figure which appeared to be mostly cybernetic, She heard that metallic voice once more come from this cybernetic man

"Please dont be alarmed! your perfectly safe, lucky I found you when I did! you may be wondering where you are and why your eyes dont feel right.

1. your in a medical room in my facility, we have the most advanced technology to help you recover the best you can, in your current state you'll be up and about after a couple of days youll get used to it.

second point is about your eyes, im personally unsure what happened to you exactly but you where defiantly in a bad way. I managed to regenerate your flesh fur and bone that was destroyed, however your eyes where a different matter. Your right eye may still feel gritty as I couldn't remove all the debris hopefully that should clear up, your left eye was the most damaged and unfortunately had to be extracted due to an infection which if left would have gone up your brain stem and killed ya anyways.
So I extracted it and hardwired a synthetic optical nerve into your brain in place of the natural one, this allowed me then to insert a synthetic eye for ya so you can now see from both eyes. just be sure not to do any activities in the next week or so that would cause you to change direction quickly the nerve needs time to heal over. I also meant to ask did you need anything? food drink?"

Cyber mustered up a timid squeak implying that she would like said items items and after that she was on the road to recovery. after she had recovered, she decided to stay with the cybernetic man as it was the only sense of safety she knew, she eventually saw the other creatures at the facility as of course it was not just her!

Anyways that was cyberpatch's reboot what did you guys and girls think? do you like the new design, what do you think could be improved about it if not?
