Here in the beginning of the world I see you and you are young
I am old, colder than ice or rock or bone.
I am shadow
I am the shadow that consumes
I am the shadow that hates
I am the shadow that blots all light
I see you
You are a spark
A small naked spark in the land of my shadow
I will have you
I will hold you
I will consume you
I will tear you apart
I will love you
I will nurture you
I will teach you to grow
I will show you how to brighten the heavens
For you are the Sun
And I am the Moon
And I will have you
You are my love
And we shall join
But alas, for we are doomed to solitude...
For after I teach you all that I know you must depart from me until the World's ending
Look on the Moon your love and despair
I am old, colder than ice or rock or bone.
I am shadow
I am the shadow that consumes
I am the shadow that hates
I am the shadow that blots all light
I see you
You are a spark
A small naked spark in the land of my shadow
I will have you
I will hold you
I will consume you
I will tear you apart
I will love you
I will nurture you
I will teach you to grow
I will show you how to brighten the heavens
For you are the Sun
And I am the Moon
And I will have you
You are my love
And we shall join
But alas, for we are doomed to solitude...
For after I teach you all that I know you must depart from me until the World's ending
Look on the Moon your love and despair
