Sometimes it is fun to bring upon the end of a world in a rather quick fashion, to not give it a suspenseful build up of smaller sized rampaging before getting huge. Sometimes all you feel like is finding a world to end and just dlopping down upon it, letting the impact of your several thousand mile tall body rattle the whole planet, ending countless millions before just basking, showcasing your divinity for the local mortals to gawk at while you casually end the rest of their globe.
