Zander and Zonja once owned a small mining operation but they were pushed out by the warring lion tribes, so while they are looking for an opportinity to get their claim back or set up somewhere safer they turned to scavving and mercenary work to pay the bills in the meantime. Currently they are involved with a reconstruction project for a new settlement in the ruins of an old town and railway station where the two of them are trying to get one of the trains working again. While the settlers have their own security Zonja and Zander pitch in there as well from time to time, Zonja even laid out some traps around the settlement.

Both of them are quite adept at fixing the old machines and vehicles, Zander especially excells in this while Zonja's expertise is in electrics and explosives, both skills which she put to good use for her traps and also to link up one of the locomotives as a backup power source for the settlement once they get it working again.
