I agree, although I'm happy to see (now that the internet is what it is now) that more people are coming forward and saying IX was their favorite!
I was at a trade show a few years ago and Square had a booth there. A guy there asked if FFVII was my favorite game (because I was taking a photo of some FFVII/Advent Children merch) and I told him it was actually FFIX. He was dumbstruck and thought I was joking!!!

To be honest, I'd like to see Zidane and Vivi sleeping on the grassy field, Zidane holding Vivi close.

This is amazing artwork of Zidane! I think my favorite moment was him saving the rat couple in Burmecia and them meeting Zidane again in Lindblum where he meets their children.
