This is Radius, some kind of Yoshi-dog hybrid hereby known as a "Yoshinu." He was created as the result of gene splicing experiments that used Yoshi eggs, performed by a scientist known only by the name of "Dr. Primer." Whether or not the experiment was a success, or what happened with the doctor are both mysteries, but we still have the Radius.

He possesses many of the traits of a Yoshi, including the high pitched voice, extremely long tongue, and ability to produce eggs.
