fanart of Macan from Housamo-Tokyo after school summoners.
A friend of mine, who knew that I am a fan of Housamo, borrowed me his phone, for he has got the app Housamo and showed me the newly translated chapter 7.
It is really a breath taking chapter.
SPOILER ALERT!
During the story, the player character gets captured by so called shadows, discarded memories in physical forms and in a dungeon one gets chained up next to Macan, the best fighter of the Ikebukuro Colosseum. During the events the player and Macan can manage to flee from their dungeon cell and for a certain while, Macan fights along the player, still chained up because he couldn´t wait to take revenge on the shadows, and even as a gatcha character Macan in chains can be received as I am been told.
This scenario was worth a fanart, so I drew my version of Macan, still in chains, but ready to fight whoever dares to approach him^^

The hair of the character literally like...imagine you see someone who kinda like...is use to seeing your style, but then you see them replicate a style you also kinda like but also maintain the feel of their own style in the midst of drawing the other style, and then you're just completely thrown off and then you re-realize that this is from the same person you know.
You threw me off way more than I thought I'd be when I actually looked at it, the hair did it, but its cool that...like...you gave the hair a 80's-90's manga or anime look. Which I've never really seen from your characters or fanart. At least from how you drew it this time compared to others. I'm not sure. xvx;
Either way, you did a good job overall! Even the look in the eyes is something I'd see in Manga and Anime!

hehe thanks. I am not sure if I understand completely well, what you meant here, but I guess it is a compliment nontheless^^; hehe silly me
I am able to copy some other artist´s style if needed.
If you wish to compare the real character macan with my fanart here, here are some links:

Its definitely a compliment, and no problem, I kinda am bad at explaining anyways, its a feeling you have to experience for yourself occasionally to know what someone means. xvx;;
Uuuuhh...huh...the design is there, but your style gives him a way better like...well...what I feel is a better illustration or visual style than that of what you showed to me. I like the 80's-90's manga. I almost want to see Kid Goku in your style! I also don't understand the need to really tease that bulge....it really feels like its absolutely too intentional by that notion because it makes others daydream...feels a bit offputting to me. At least you don't make it prominent. I ain't mad but I feel like characters deserve more respect than given in design.

In the original design some characters have a really daring style of fashion. Not offending aand still covering the private parts, but the character designer did their outmost to lead the watchers focus on the ... well erotic parts of the body
For example Macan´s Belly buckle, formed like a dragon lion creature and his bulging manhood is exactly at the same position as the dragon lion´s tongue would be

Awwww nooo, well i can't judge you for liking that, I just kinda like more clothed stuff. And "Daring" is a sort of...light but clever way pf describing what they wear. I kinda don't like the framing of "Oh look at my hidden dragon in almost every spot of a picture!" it just feels too in-your-face and like....overdone. If I were to do that, I'd rather do it organically rather than be so upfront and like...it almost feels like the character designer or whoever is drawing the comic is like "I want this part of my character in your face and almost if not already in your mouth". Kinda just feels a bit invasive to me. And I don't mean to sound mad, because I'm not, I just have different opinions on how characters should be handled. X3
Like...I don't want only that one area of my character is like..."here, here is where your eyes gravitate to!" its like...I prefer the viewer to like..stare at all of my character and take in the design and implied personality in what they wear, express through current emotion, and or so on and so forth. I prefer people to really take in a character rather than to like...it feels like you're tossing the cha-I'm saying what I just said earlier..goddamnit!
Aaa you get what I mean by this point though. And well I think my Typhlosion has quite a bit more symbolism to him on his clothes. I just wish I could get a reference to show you in one shot rather than go like "Hang on let me dig through my mess of pictures because I have bad luck".
I think the most I can describe to you is that my Typh has Clouds aaalll over his clothing. You're free to look through my gallery and see for yourself, but I don't want you to feel pushed. ;v;

hehe well i am straight so I am not feeling attrackted to any kind of daring male fashion. In fact for me it is funny to see the characters struggling to be fitting for "bara literature" means gay literature. But the game designer were smart enough to provide a female player charakter to make it easier for strait folks to approach to the characters.
My first impression of this game was that it was a simple dating simulation of some sort. But it is in fact a mature fullfletched fantasy manga like novel. Of course the maine clients for this game are surely the more homoerotic stuff fans.
And I know what you mean. Clothing is also symbolising a character, describing the personality and other minor aspects vaguely seen on the surface. I know it very well. I was told allready here on FA that i can make my characters even attractive even when they are wearing clothes and need not to rely on nudity to get faves and attention.

Ah dang it and I repeated what many here have saaaaid.
Oh godda-I KNEW I MISSED SOMETHING! My Typhlosion has a 天 (Ten/Heaven/Sky) Kanji on the back of the Kimono, different colors for different forms. But normally on the blue Kimono its always black and it looks like its nearly perfectly paintbrushed or calligraphy brushed into the fabric. So the 天 Kanji and then the symbolism of clouds, and my Typh using Wind rather than Fire says quite a bit of how randomly I threw together a few things and then they just sort of...matched. Well...he pulls it off better. Though the 天 is usually used for those who participate and place high, in my character stories, in the World Martial Arts Tournament. Or in a rough translation: "Strongest Under The Heavens Martial Arts Tournament".
I had a feeling it was a kind of a Bara Manga or Literature thing, but there's better ways to go about it if you ask me! Always better way to go about things! I try to "Shigeru Miyamoto" my things...but I tend to realize that I'll never be as good or creative as Shigeru, and that's okay, because Shigeru is just too awesome of a human being.
Shigeru Miyamoto just has creativity exploding out of his ears!
I...almost want to design something for Eternal but I'm unsure of what....a Form, an Item, Clothes, a Style of Martial Arts, or a Style of how he fights, or like...something...Eternal is like...well..not Eternal, but it takes too much time for me to design things. I hate my speeeed. And also it a bit hard to design things for a Black Rat.

hehe thanks much
the game is in fact a novel to read with mixed in short card game fights - a little bit like the tetra master from Final Fantasy 9
and the character Macan had me made to think of Kehno, because he is depicted as super buff and he has a vore fetish, only difference is that Macan happens to be a tiger^^

hehe yes. Macan is obsessed to devour his defeated enemies and, if he ever would be defeated, he requires his enemy to devour him. There had been some funny situations, where the player character tries to reason against Macan´s fetish and he acts like he wouldn´t understand why a vore fetish is a bad thing, he thinks it to be natural, law of the jungle, eat or be eaten^^
That's true! The characters are really stylized, a lot of times in kinky ways (which I assume it's because they clearly know their target audience).
Your version makes me think of the "cartoony realism" of american action series in the 80's such as Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Dinosaucers and such, which all have this nice blend of western and eastern style.

Bedhead, Wild Mane, Wild Hair, Unruly mane.
Not trying to correct you though, just kinda slightly weirded out that you said "disorderly mane". Feels like it should be used for actions rather than to describe something like hair. I hope you don't feel bad or think bad though, just kinda saying, it just kinda feels out of place to say it like that. Sorryyyy if its upsetting you or if it will. Not meaning any harm or like...well..any negative anything.

It definitely wouldn't be a good idea to be lulled into a false sense of security with Macan still being in chains, as even with his arms bound he's not gagged or muzzled and given his oft stated cannibalistic tendencies he's not going to have any qualms about biting. You've certainly captured his ferocity and strength in this version of him and given that he spends the chapter chained up it was surely inevitable you'd be drawing him.
I'd have to say I prefer your take on him to the official version, musclebound and bulky but not so top heavy and he actually looks like he'd have some agility, overall more realistic to a fighter while still immediately recognisable as a character. His belt buckle and wild mane I think are the standouts in the picture and you've actually made him quite handsome.
With Macan in chains available as a skin he'd be a good partner for Garmr and we could also perhaps include Arsalan given the frequency he gets himself captured and I imagine that would be an ideal party of Transients to take along with the Housamo aspect of Eternal for some exciting adventures.

hehe Eternal is predictable in such a case^^ squiek
thanks much. I admit, I am not really happy with Macan´s original character design. I know that there are fans of makro muscles, but if a body is bulging with too much muscle mass, it would be impossible to move arround freely. That would be out of anatomy and I don´t like that.
And hehe, I allready plan to draw a Housamo shell for Eternal

but why did you stop halfway through the chapter? For me it was so exciting, that I almost rade it in one rush and was so frustrated when I reached chapter 8 where only japanese kanji could be seen, because this chapter is yet not translated.

Well, the "Fluffy Nightmare" started, so since the emulator doens't work very well, I can't push it too much by farming items and read the story... XP
But now that it is over, I can focus on reading it again!
Oh! And even thought ins't the same, you can read a summary of chapter 8 here: https://drive.google.com/drive/fold.....yE?usp=sharing
This guy don't translated, but rather just make a good synopis of what happened in a chapter. I read some of the events there, so I could have an idea of what happened.

Macan would make for a worthy addition to a collection of captive tigers, though one whom would not be approach or captured without risk. For such a strong and musclebound beast, it required the strongest of chains along with a gag of enchanted cloth. The tiger's obsession with devouring his defeated foes and if he was himself defeated to require himself to be devoured was a little problematic, though an eloquent rat could persuade Macan to treat it as a friendly game, a test of strength.
Still the tiger strained his muscles against the chains, lunging and almost playfully snapping each time a rat approached, as it required several splinters to attempt this task, keeping a hold of chains, another two or three to dart in and out, getting as close as they dared, until finally one of them could get in behind, leap atop the tiger's shoulders and apply the gag to bind them.
One got a little too close, tiger jaws closing around the tip of a tail, a strangled squeak and Macan was satisfied in devouring a little of the rat. The little game was won, or at least a draw and he'd be a part of the collection for a little while, though as he thought of if it, so many different forms across so many different worlds, devouring Eternal might have been a case of biting of more than he could chew.
Maybe being a part of the rat's collection for a while...that was Eternal's way of devouring him. So, thinking of it that way Macan was satisfied and a surprisingly laidback captive.
