Chester "Chet" McCafferty is one of the few people who benefitted from the DNAftershock Event that changed many into Human/Animal Hybrids. Chet was in his late 50s and running his mechanic shop with his son. After the DNAftershock occurred, Chet was changed into a Capuchin Monkey Hybrid and felt the best he's ever felt in decades, like he was in his 20s again. Besides the boost to how he felt Chet found that he gained more hands to help with his feet hands and his tail aiding him in work. But not all was great for Chet, his son and daughter in law were evacuated from the city due to quarantine on the Hybrids, this left Chet with needing to care for his grandson, Shawn, who also became a Hybrids. Chet and Shawn have been making the best out of their new life but it's tough with being separated from the rest of their family. Chet still runs his mechanic shop with Shawn as his helper and unbeknownst to everyone, they're developing a bus from a junkyard into a heavily armored escape vehicle. It'll take gunfire and dish out damage in order to escape from the quarantine zone known as The Zoo.
