Introducing Namu/Chin-Sun Song and Chuck Brisby
Namu is the first Plant Hybrid of her kind. After the DNAftershock event that turned a great number of Omina City citizens into animal hybrids, the military got their hands on Trex Industries' Hybrid research and continued it, trying to apply the Hybridization Method to other things besides animals, like Plantlife or organic materials. Doctor Song was one of the head scientists for the military and thanks to her hard work and the work of her colleagues, they succeeded in being able to turning humans into Plant Hybrids. Though Dr Song discovered that the military planned to use Plant Hybrid soldiers to manipulate/devastate an enemies environment so they'll be surviving in a "dead land". Dr. Song opposed this and burned the files and unleashed a virus to delete all traces of the Hybrid formula on any computer. She managed to escape with a set of 9 different formulas for Plant Hybridization. Upon being pursued and cornered by soldiers, Dr. Song used the Oak formula on herself and became a hybrid, defeating the soldiers, destroying their vehicles and escaping into the last place anyone would think to look, the quarantine zone, known as The Zoo.
Chuck Brisby is a dwarf bouncer for Bev's bar. Most people assumed because of his size that he wasn't a threat but he was a lot stronger than he looked and he had a wooden bat for those who pushed him too far. After getting turned into a rat, jokes about him being short turned into jokes about him being a rodent. Chuck lives with Dr. Song in his apartment. She turned her room into a lab and in exchange, she gives Chuck fruits and vegetables she grew over the course of a week with her hybrid abilities. Chuck maybe small, but he's quick, strong, and can chew through metal in a matter of seconds to minutes.
