About the Gallinishee
Who are the Gallinishee and where do they come from?
Gallinishee come from another world, of another dimension. Having crossed thru a magical gateway located within the House of Nekk ('HoN' or the House). The last operational dimensional hub to exist. Following a terrible cataclysm nearly 500 years ago two (2) of the three (3) Elder Houses fell, cutting off the home world to each of the House gateways. For one gate could not exist without the others. It has taken Nekk many centuries to restore the gateway of her House, and now that the portal is again open so is her largely extensive home.
Her kin are able to freely pass thru the gateway between their home world and the House as they wish, along with their CeeSee companions. The House is warded against anything or anyone other than Gallinishee or CeeSee, protecting those who reside within the massively extensive world that exists between dimensional plains known as the “Rift”.

Gallinishee are generally very light or bright in coloring. Here is a brightness scale for reference when designing your MYO of the acceptable brightness/darkness in main coloring.

Physical Traits and their Unique Powers/Abilities


About their wings and ability to fly...

All Gallinishee have some form of wings and are all able to take flight in some capacity. The more rare the wing the higher, longer or even faster one could fly.

Those with Common Wings unfortunately cannot take to the sky as their wings are just not large enough, but they are able to flutter reasonably short distances (a few hundred feet/yards) and heights (as high as a two story building) taking into account a Gallinishee is extremely light weight compared to their large stature.

While those with UnCommon Wings are able to take flight and sore higher then those with Common Wings, it could still be tiresome to fly extended distances. Still, the UnCommon Wings are much stronger then their smaller counterparts enabling a Gallinishee to carry a reasonable load, or even another Gallinishee, over short distances.

Those with Rare(Fae) Wings are known to be the more swift and stealthy in flight due to their wings having no bone-structure, and is instead made of a flexible cartilage. Unlike their fellow Gallinishee, Rare(Fae) Wings flutter rapidly, similarly to a dragonfly or hummingbird giving of a soft hummmmm when in flight or hovering. It is very common to see a Gallinishee with Rare(Fae) wings dart back and forth like a dragonfly or bee, and can take sharp turns or dive thru small spaces more effectively then any of their sisters/brothers.

Those with Enlighten Wings are not only the most powerful set of the lot, they are also transmorphic between flight and rest. When a Gallinishee is resting/no longer in flight they have the ability to retract their wings' size to that of an UnCommon Wing, where the flight wings shorten, and the wing size itself shrinks. (Note: retracted Enlighten Wings do NOT look the same as UnCommon Wings).


About their tails...

All Gallinishee have some for of tail which they use for balance, agility in flight or even defensively.

While the Common and Uncommon tails do not have any special traits or magical element to them they are still very much necessary to a Gallinishee's equilibrium, and well being. Losing one's tail causes significant issues for a Nishee both physically and emotionally.

Rare/Fae tails are adorned with magical blooming flowers, which give off a glitter of magical ‘pollen’ the Nishee simply call dux (or ‘magic dust’). The pollen has the same general magical properties throughout the species; can mimics sleeping dust, or can cause flowers to bloom from any natural surface be it soil or rock. The more powerful Nishee with the Fae/Rare tail can use their ‘dux’ to purify small bodies of dirty or polluted waters. The only differences would be the Gallinishee’s magical ranking to determine how potent the pollen or ‘dux’ magic is.

Enlighten tails are the largest and most physically powerful of the traits. (...to be continued)

Their eyes: All Gallinishee have colored cat-like pupils a darker or lighter shade of their eye color, and glow a brighter shade of their true eye color when they use their magic. They do not have round pupils and instead have slit pupils that widen and narrow similar to a cat’s, and allows them to see in the most blinding of lights or blackest of darkness. While these general abilities are a species trait, only Enlighten Gallinishee can “see” auras.
