Will the bid placed on the illustration commission determine the quality of the piece?
Or will it be a certain quality regardless of the price?
Sorry if it is a stupid question, just wondering since it's being auctioned and all.

I think I have not explained it well - I wanted to auction the one illustration commission SLOT here, the place on the list, not the artwork itself. The art needs to be paid after the auction just as it is in the price list. I just contacted the Empress_Perjurynow, who probably understood the auction just as you did, hence this super big bid for the start. Oh my oh my, doing new things is not always a good idea ^^;

So just to be clear:
whatever bid is, if it doesn't reach the price that will be calculated later for the actual illustration winner (once the details for it will be discussed), the rest of the price left will need to be paid?
OR this is just to pay the slot and the illustration will be paid again separately? (like paying for the slot for example by a bid of 100, and then paying again for the illustration depending on details for example with 300?)

aww, no, no :) I need to remove this bidding at all it is to oconfusing :) I meant to do one illustration commission this time - and I thought that I may do an auction for the slot - it would be an extra for me if more than one person be interested in it. I'd do the one illustration for person who wins this auction - the artwork is not considered paid. Bad bad idea

No it's not a bad idea at all if you are in high demand.
Just let folks know that they are bidding for the slot alone and if they win they still need to pay for the illustration itself.
As the "Slot fee" will be like a ticket to skip any ques.

Thank you for understanding! I removed it now maybe I'll come back to that idea somewhere in the future :) Now I only left the normal commissions
