I love rats <3

They're so sweet. I adore my girls.

I got to play with a friend's ratties, and they were the sweetest little guys.

One of these days I'm gonna get my own rat. :3

I suggest getting a pair. They're really social and love to have a friend to live with.

When you have the time and space for a cage I highly recommend rats. They're so social and friendly if handled.

Not to mention way less space is needed for a rat than a dog, especially if you don't have a yard.

Definitely gonna get a pair if I get them.

ach this is why I HATE Alaska *it's illegal to own rats unless they're specifically 'albino feeder rats.'

It's sad when it's illegal to own a rat. I wonder why it is for anything besides albino in Alaska. That's weird.

Though, albinos are cute and can be really sweet, I'd get 2 and use that loophole to have pet rats. XD

I love Albinos too, but the nearest Petsmart is almost 250 miles from Homer

I remember going into the store and asking to look at the rats; the reaction I got was despicable

"you realize it's illegal to own or breed rats unless they're feeders, right?"

"the law says nothing about keeping albinos"

"then we cannot sell you these rats." I mean, W.T.F

and you'd think Petsmart would go out of their way to enable somebody who loves rats, to own a couple of the fellows. they were rude and handled the rats by their tails, treating them like snake fodder.

Ick, even if a store sells them strictly as feeders they still deserve humane treatment while alive.
