So i think im gonna make this a thing, where i take a theme and make some character designs around that theme for the month. Been really enjoying character design, and wanted to springboard off my previous candlewax beast idea into some more creepy ideas.

*Usually*, when i design a creature for sale i dont attribute a massive amount of backstory to them because, at the end of the day, someone else is going to buy them and repurpose them however they see fit. However, during my design process i use concepts and themes to inspire where i take the design. For example, "slick" as i have lovingly nicknamed him, is an eldritch deity whom embodies a faceless hunger. I imagined him to be much like an incomprehensible force, summoned only in occult rituals by madmen who think they understand him or his desires, or can appeal to him for boons. Rags is an occult lorekeeper, resident of another pocket dimension constructed of rolling libraries. His body oozes ink, so he wraps it in robes, which he has to continuously change. And Guts is a voodoo spirit, consumed by gluttony, though i didnt have much on him
