RIP Stanton Friedman
Those who listen to Coast to Coast AM at night know the name Stanton Friedman well. Stanton was literally the one responsible for alerting the civilians and general populace about the Roswell Incident in 1947. Stanton was big in the nuclear field before turning to Ufology.
Stanton exposed many of the rumors, uncovered hidden files and was a general pain in the ass to the US Government about UFOs.
I met Stanton several times at MUFON events in Los Angeles and in Phoenix. He was always the gentleman and knew his field. (He reminded me of a bearded Fred Patton).
*Edit* According to George Noory, Stanton was giving a speech in Ohio along side Noory and others this past weekend. Stanton looked great, and caught a flight home to Toronto on Monday. And had a heart attack in the Toronto airport. The Coast to Coast family lost a great one. George said as a young 19 year old radio host, Stanton was his very first interview, and left Ohio giving George his last.
Stanton seriously pushed for official disclosure over the 1947 incident, deep down I hoped he would have succeeded .

A friend of mine and I agreed on what to do if aliens ever came down to make contact, and we were the first on scene.
