Snofo took his change a lot better than I probably would have... especially if I was changing gender in the process.
Nicely written, I particularly like the interaction between the two main characters as the transformation happens.

Today I saw a gas station (that's petrol for you UK folks) with a sign that said "Have a happy Festivus!" which makes the first festivus greeting I've seen all year.

I've never seen one... is that the latest in political correctness? Society changes in such small ways that we really don't catch it till years and years later.

nope festivus is a specific event that happens around Christmas time. Some people celebrate only festivus while others celebrate both Christmas and Festivus. I'm sure you can google it.

Reading my way through from first to last.
Makes me think of the time I did overnight backups and brought my dog into the office.
He left a "present" in the cube of someone in accounting I used to lock horns with XD.

*laughs... dogs are smarter than people give them credit for. When the mother-in-law almost came to stay with us, my Bella disappeared into her bedroom and came back out with a big smile - 'I took care of it Dad.' She totally unloaded on the bed. This was quite intentional because she never ever did anything like that before.
