oh my. It seems that he is getting his powers from this other being with the dark powers. I'm guessing this is a fallen sort of thing and that this boy is meant to take the dark one's place, right? I wonder what could happen next. Perhaps a little bit of light magic? I can't wait to find out. And could this smith be our good friend Jake?

I read this and its two preceding stories, and they were fun. I think Trick’s off to a good start. A lot of the elements are familiar, like the hero discovering his powers as a teenager, losing a parent at an early age, and setting off on a journey to discover his origins and figure out his potential. I thought the markings acting like a map/compass was a neat touch. So were Trick's little dog behaviors, like marking trees and shaking his fur dry. This story ended on a nice cliffhanger with that creepy shadowy villain. I wondered if the villain is his biological father or some other relative, since he has similar markings and powers.

hehe XP, well im glad this caught your attention.. i tend to be very creative with stories.. so i try my best to make them enjoyable hehe, im still thinking what to add next to my story.. i just need to have more patience to make them a little bit longer hehe.. im not so great at typing continuesly lol
