New CLOSED original species I've made

SombraDusks are shy shadow beings that tend to live exclusively in the forests, jungles, wooded areas and the outskirts of civilization. They are curious about light and love fireflies. If you are lucky enough to find a colony they have jar fulls of them hanging from trees around the hollowed out trees that they live inside of.

*Habitat
The SombraDusk reside in wooded areas on the outskirts of civilization.

They keep together in groups of 10 to 50 depending on the wood density and access to resources. They are gentle creatures that tend to avoid any other large species. Their all black fur like bodies help them to blend into the dark woods where they only emerge at dusk and will roam until dawn

*Diet

The ShadowDusks eat mostly fruits and mushrooms that they find lying around and rotting in the night. They tend to hibernate in particularly severe winters when they would otherwise migrate.

*General level of aggression and sociability

All SombraDusks are exceptionally shy but if cornered or threatened show almost immeasurable strength and aggression especially when protecting their partners or their children. They mate for life and have been known to die for broken hearts if their imprinted other should pass before them. They have at least two children in each birthing and are exceptionally attentive and coddling parents.

*General behaviour

ShadowDusks spend the days hidden from sight inside of deeply hollowed out trees or in underground tunnels accessible through hollowed out trees. They have no genders. Copulation is performed by two ShadowDusks morphing together into a large black mass (roughly twice the size of the larger SD). They remain this way for three nights. On the fourth night, they unfurl into the two original SD, the small of which now pregnant. If they are both the same size the pregnancy is random. When it comes to birthing they repeat the process unfurling into the happy family of two parents and at least two younglings.
