I agree! At least, this is why I have always enjoyed writing erotic scenes. I don't get as explicit as a lot of people do, because I tend to focus more on emotions and the overall expression of love between two people. But I do think that, if it's handled right, even a fairly graphic sexual scene can be as romantic as any of the more demure art out there. What's more, I think it's wonderful when people are able to celebrate their bodies, and the bodies of other people, instead of hiding them away like its something to be ashamed of. And if drawing anthropomorphic animals helps people celebrate the male and female form, I think that's a good thing, too.
Now, as for that last part, what do you do if you are a bunny?

I think a more concise way of saying that would be, "Furry porn is fun." Yup. It sure is.
I used to draw (really badly drawn) furry porn before ever discovering other furry stuff.
I'd probably be drawing it whether or not there were an FA or fchan or e621.
There wouldn't be so much interesting inspiration though.

I completely and thoroughly agree with the stated but if I'm going to stick a rabbit anywhere on that lower end of my body, it's going to be an anthro bunny girl and in story form I'm going make a porno with her. But I'm a perpetually horny wolf or bear or bear-wolf who like preying on bunnies so my own predictions must take precedence. And yes, I'm that much of a perv that if I had the money and knew an artist to do it I'd have my character with Lola Bunny as my sex pet.
*does so*
I agree, I think there's more meaning behind drawing porn then just money... but not all the time. I myself really enjoy drawing my character and my mates character in situations like that for the reasons you said. But if I ever take porn commissions (I don't right now) I wouldn't get as much enjoyment out of it most likely =< Drawing it with my own characters puts it on a much more personal level for me and I like that better. The main reason I don't do porn on commission x3

It's true that some people post porn just for attention, but adult situations are a part of life (unless you live in some kind of celibate religious sect)...
I think it'd be wrong to say that no one should ever post adult artwork, because adult situations are just as much a part of life as death or marriage or relationship or jobs or anything else. Drawing to celebrate life or to shine a light on it at least, like you so often do, is one of the ways to draw adult art for deeper, better, reasons than just to get fans or convince people to commission you to illuminate their own taboos and sexual fantasies. I guess it comes down to what people call Pornography too - some people say it's anything involving nudity or sexual organs, others say it's only things that are vulgar and offend people. On the internet there are things so extreme, just to get noticed, that it's nice to see more celebratory adult images with some feeling behind them ^^

While I am not presonally into "rought"-art, I never have said that shouldn't draw that stuff.
This statement of yours is very clever and insightful. Clad to see someone who actually wrote sommething why they're into adult-works and so on.
Thanks for sharing the information. =3

I agree sooooo much. My GF is not really a furry like me though she likes the art work and says that it is cool. We get into it sometimes cause she thinks that some of it is just out there. But then i tell her that it is our way of letting out who we are. As Pussy Cat has said it is our way of being who we are. And for others to say that it is not right is just out of there own minds. We accept others fantasies and fetishes without saying a word about it or how we really feel about it because we say if your going to be the way that you are then be that way. why hide who you are for someone.
Just las week we had a small fight about who I was and told her flat out that i wasn't going to hide it. if she didn't like that then tough. there's the door. I'm not going to hide who i am. I want to be me and thats who i am going to be Glassy Neko. And thats all to it. So this picture and the moral behind it is a great one. We are not to Judge. And we are to let be cause who are we to say what is right and what is wrong if you like it by all means enjoy cause it is not OUR place to say you can not enjoy something that you like.

I think I may be the only one here who disagrees. "[F]urry artists draw pr0n... to express their own lust and happiness." I don't argue with the lust part, but lust doesn't equate to happiness. I suspect that many artists draw themselves or their characters in such sexual situations because it's the closest their fantasies will ever come to reality, for whatever reason. In which case some of these drawings are in effect expressions of dissatisfaction. As for myself, I don't draw porn, but when I look at arts that are more pornographic in quality than anything else, I don't tend to come away happy. Excited sometimes, certainly, but also tired or even a little sad. And while I can sympathize with the desire to "celebrate the joy of the male and female form," I am skeptical of the idea that an expression of lust is an appropriate vehicle for it. So unfortunately, there shall be no bunnies on my butt this eve.
But there shall be on mine! Assuming I can ever get the poor thing up there. While I understand what you're getting at, Trias, some artists *do* enjoy their material greatly, and not just in the lusty ways. If they like what they're doing, then who are we to say they're not happy?

You make a good point, and I certainly agree that seeing all the amazing works here instills a sense of wistfulness at an existence that may not be possible in our lifetimes.
Still, I think that someone who draws a brightly shining sun on a rainy day isn't doing it to express their misery at the rain, but their hope for sunlight. Fond memories aren't bad ones, after all.
